The ultimate role of a funeral director, above all else, is the safe care and preparation of your loved one. We take this role very seriously and have invested heavily in our purpose-designed and built mortuary facility which incorporates NHS standard equipment. Without any doubt, we consider our mortuary care to be the best there is.

SAIF (the Society of Allied and Independent funerals) was established in 1989 and represents more than 900 privately owned, independent funeral homes across the UK.
For many, losing a loved one is an emotional experience that needs to be faced only occasionally in a lifetime. Yet, at this very moment of deepest grief, some important and difficult decisions still need to be made.
This is where the compassion, professionalism, and community commitment of a SAIF independent funeral director can help to make this most difficult of times that little bit more bearable. Independent funeral directors are known for their high standard of service and a caring, traditional approach, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Simple funeral – As a member of SAIF we offer a simple funeral option for families on a low income. This maintains the high standards and dignity you would expect from a funeral but at a lower cost. Founded in 1905, the National Association of Funeral Directors’ (NAFD) mission is to ‘Help funeral directors care for the bereaved’. For more than a hundred years it has been dedicated to maintaining the highest of standards throughout the funeral profession to ensure bereaved families receive the advice and support they need and deserve, regardless of circumstances.
The National Association of Funeral Directors demands high professional standards so, in order to be accepted into membership, funeral firms are assessed against strict criteria. Members of the NAFD are then required to abide by a stringent Code of Practice and are monitored regularly to ensure a high quality of service is maintained.
